Darren Scully

Darren is 31 and lives in Naas with his wife Deirdre and young son David. He is a member of Naas Town Council since 2004 and has been a member of Fine Gael since the age of 18. He is a qualified engineering surveyor and attended St Corbans Primary School Naas, Cross and Passion Kilcullen and DIT Bolton Street.

He was the youngest local election candidate in the country in 1994.

His other political involvements include:

o   Member, Kildare County Council Environment Committee
o   Member of Collins 22 Society Committee

Darren was the Fine Gael candidate in the Kildare North by-election in 2005, where he increased the party vote and ensured that Fine Gael were the largest opposition party in Kildare North. During his time on the council, he has gained respect as a passionate and often outspoken councillor on behalf of the people of the town, and is recognized as one of the council's most hard working members.
