600% increase in membership for Young Fine Gael

YFG to launch poster campaign to continue recruitment drive

Membership of Young Fine Gael has increased by more than 600% in the last three years with the organisation now enjoying record numbers.

To celebrate the fact that Young Fine Gael (YFG) is now the fastest growing political youth movement in the country, and to continue building on the growth to date, the organisation has launched a new poster campaign featuring the slogan 'Political Party Animals'.

The poster, which urges students to 'get your college year off to a cracking start', will be displayed in campuses across the country, and for the first time YFG is taking out advertising slots on bus stops in and around colleges.

Promising an excellent mix of social events and weekends away, as well as a huge social network right across the country, Young Fine Gael has seen its membership rocket from 556 in 2002, to its current level of 3,494.

Meanwhile, Fine Gael can claim to be a real voice for the youth of Ireland. The Party has the largest number of young TDs and Senators, and more councillors under the age of 35 than the local authority members of the PDs and the Green Party combined.
