Largest Recruitment Campaign Ever
to Push YFG Over 4,000 Members

Young Fine Gael (YFG) President, Patrick O'Driscoll, today (Sunday) said that the organisation will launch its largest recruitment campaign in colleges throughout the country this week. YFG are the first youth wing of any political party to advertise using bus stops and washroom advertising.

The poster campaign featuring the slogan "Political Party Animals" will be displayed in 130 bus stop, college and washroom sites throughout the country.

YFG President Patrick O'Driscoll commenting on the campaign said:
"We have seen a immense increase in our membership in the past three years. Over the next month we intend to grow even larger and are encouraging young people to get involved in what is a fantastic social as well as political organisation.

"YFG are already celebrating the fact that that their membership has increased by 600% in the past three years and are confident that over the month of this campaign that it will grow further. YFG has grown from a mainly college based organisation to a large national organisation with 65 Branches all over Ireland and 3,494 members, a comparable size to many political parties.

"I am confident that the students of Ireland will get their year off to a cracking start by joining YFG, pushing our numbers over 4,000 and helping us in our aim to flush this government down the pan."
